    The home was originally built in 1989 and was once a wolf sanctuary that housed up to 30 wolves in rehabilitation or being bred in captivity. After the wolves were removed, the home was purchased in 2006 and converted into a vacation rental, allowing other vacationers to enjoy the secluded location. With over 3200 square feet, 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, sleeping 8 to 10 people, 40 acres, a pond and direct access to the national forest and miles of hiking trails, the mountain estate is the perfect place for a relaxing getaway. With Starlink satellite internet and a 4G cell booster, you can stay connected to civilization, or unplug and disconnect completely. As part of the project, the private road was re-routed for 3/4 miles, ponds were reclaimed and enforced, and a Colorado Forest Management Plan was developed to prevent fires, diseased trees and invasive species or plants from spreading across the 40 acres of forest.

    The house was gorgeous, the view from the balcony was my favorite part about the property. It was so peaceful and hidden but still only 20 minutes away from woodland park.

    Great place to stay! The home was very quiet and peaceful for those looking for an escape from the city. The home does lack some creature comforts in A/C and Cellular Service but if you know that going in you will be in for a treat!! Don't forget to write down the instructions on how to get to the home before heading into the mountains. Once you arrive the view of Pike's Peak from the deck is gorgeous! Thank you Lauren for opening up a beautiful home!

    We really enjoyed our stay. The view was beautiful and the was remote and peaceful. There was plenty to do in the home and the place was very clean. We received all of the information needed prior to our stay and the host was helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

    Overall a great stay and a great deal for the price. The house is huge, the hot tub was great, and the pool table was one of our favorite pieces to pass the time.

    It was a great stay, we loved the hot tub and it was easy to find with the instructions provided. It was overall pretty clean. Will defined stay there again
